The Lithuanian Song & Poetry Festival is held for foreigners living in Lithuania and for the children of mixed families married to Lithuanians, celebrating the Lithuanian language through song and poetry.
It takes place as part of a wider, established poetry festival, with the programme timed to coincide with the festival's dates. Participants are reached especially through schools, universities, and social media.
Those who do not yet speak Lithuanian are matched with volunteer tutors, who help them learn and prepare their pieces — turning language learning into a shared, welcoming cultural experience.
