The International Polish Song Contest (Międzynarodowy Konkurs Piosenki Polskiej) is a flagship cultural initiative organized by Dunaj Instytut Dialogu. The project serves as a creative platform for integration, inviting expats, international students, and foreigners from all corners of the world who reside in Poland to perform traditional or modern Polish songs. By replacing rigid language lessons with the universal language of music, the contest encourages participants to immerse themselves in the Polish language, phonetics, and cultural nuances.
The initiative brings together a diverse international community of amateur and aspiring singers from dozens of countries, alongside local audiences, cultural experts, and a professional jury panel comprising accomplished musicians, vocal coaches, and cultural figures. The project spans several months of preparation, culminating in a grand final gala (Wielki Finał) held in Warsaw, where finalists perform live on stage accompanied by professional sound and lighting, creating an authentic and high-energy festival atmosphere.
